Have spent quite a bit of time in my studio this week. Worked on three new paintings and am very pleased with the results... I will be posting the completed works the week of the 25th...

September 12, 2011 - ALREADY... Have not touched my paints in over three weeks and I do miss them dearly. It has been a whirlwind of a summer - busy, busy, busy. Very rewarding in every way but painting. Children galore, family, wedding, reunion, friends, camp, and most wonderful - grandchildren. My life is trying to find a balance in the things that are most dear to my heart and hiding in my studio which is my passion. On a daily basis sometimes I can't achieve this balance, but throughout the year it all averages out. Yesterday I started giving a thorough cleanup to my studio, today I will sit and appreciate those surroundings and pick up a brush and start a new painting - very excited and yet apprehensive after being away for so long... I am learning to be more accepting of this slight agitation and just simply moving ahead with a smile. Life is wonderful.
